FlyOver: Vancouver’s Immersive Flying Theatre at Canada Place
Flyover is one of downtown Vancouver’s most exciting attractions. It’s a multi-sensory flying theatre that takes you on breathtaking virtual journeys above Canada and destinations around the world. Located on the west promenade of Canada Place, this immersive experience uses motion seats, a massive curved screen, wind effects, mist, and scent to create the sensation of soaring through open skies.

Location at Canada Place
FlyOver is situated on the iconic Canada Place waterfront at 999 Canada Place, Vancouver. Originally known as FlyOver Canada, the attraction rebranded to “Flyover” to reflect its growing collection of international films, not just Canadian landscapes.
What You’ll Experience at FlyOver
Flyover’s signature attraction is Awaken Canada, an inspiring cinematic flight that transports guests from coastal cliffs to Arctic landscapes and everything in between. Depending on the season, the venue also features special films such as Legendary Iceland, Windborne: Call of the Canadian Rockies, Wonders of the American West, and other limited-run features.
Each visit lasts roughly 25 minutes and includes:
A short pre-show that sets the tone
A breathtaking main film
A full-motion platform with dangling feet, creating the feeling of real flight
Immersive effects like mist, wind, and location-inspired scents
The flying sequence itself lasts about eight minutes but delivers one of the most memorable experiences in Vancouver.
Tickets, Pricing & Hours
Flyover operates daily, typically opening around 10:00 am and closing between early evening and late evening depending on the season. Shows run every 15 to 20 minutes, making it easy to fit a visit into your day.
Ticket prices vary depending on factors like:
Age
Peak vs. off-peak days
How far in advance you book
Online ticket purchases usually offer the best deal. Visitors must be at least 102 cm (40 inches) tall due to safety requirements.
Who Enjoys FlyOver?
FlyOver is ideal for guests looking for a short, thrilling attraction that goes beyond a traditional movie experience. It’s great for families, couples, tourists, and locals seeking a unique outing.
The ride is not recommended for people who are pregnant, highly motion-sensitive, or uncomfortable with heights. Otherwise, it’s an unforgettable experience for almost any age. Flyover’s oldest rider so far was 104!
